Tabor Hill Cherry Wine

Ummmm, I love cherry wines, though I have my favorites. Some are too sweet and syrupy. Not a good thing. My all-time fav is a cherry wine out of Michigan’s cherry growing area from Tabor Hill Winery. It’s spicy and a bit tart. Perfect for an upcoming winter night.

Another pretty good one comes from Door County Wisconsin – Simon Creek. It’s red! Really red…like that fake blood we used to make when we were kids, with food coloring and water or Karo syrup. But, it’s also a very flavorful wine.

Want to kick cherry wines up a notch? Heat them gently, with a little mulling spice. Mmmm, tasty way to warm your belly on a cold night.
