Craftsman Tools

You’re probably thinking, “Craftsman tools? What would SHE be doing with tools?” Well, every now and then, a girl needs a hammer or a screwdriver. There are pictures to hang or loose screws to tighten. Besides, I’ve been playing with tools all my life. My mom (sorry, Mom) wasn’t very handy with them, so I helped out.

“This Old House” is one of my favorite shows, and if I were married to Tommy or Norm, perhaps I wouldn’t need tools. But, I’m not. When the little man isn’t home, I head out to the garage to the big, shiny red tool chest and grab what I need.

Here’s a question for you – what do you call the screwdriver with the flat head? I call it a flat-head screwdriver, but I’ve heard it called slotted. Until a couple on TV got into an argument over the correct terminology, I didn’t know there was such a thing as a slotted style. You can comment with your perferred term.

So on to why I love Craftsman tools. One word – warranty. If a hand tool ever breaks or twists out of shape, take it back to the store and get a new one. Has the little man (I don’t think I’m strong enough to bend or break a tool) ever had to get a replacement? Once. The tip of a screwdriver got bent. He took it back and walked out of Sears with a new one. I like that. Something doesn’t hold up, I get a new one for free! Ain’t nothin’ better than that.
