For Dummies Books

When I first started creating manuals for the MS Office classes, I turned to the For Dummies books to learn all and ins and outs of those programs. Some people may feel the title is demeaning, but I like them. No dry, boring, technical, step-by-step directions.  They explain a topic in a clear and consise manner with lots of humor interspersed and the writing style makes it easy to understand whatever topic they’re covering. Some people like the picture guides, but I prefer a bit of tongue-in-cheek along with helpful tips. I think it makes understanding and learning a process more fun. So, don’t feel like a dummy, grab a For Dummies book and learn something new!
